Wrapunzel is a close-knit community providing everything necessary for women to learn the art of creative head wrapping, from scarves and tools to tutorial videos and social media support. Our customers and friends hail from all over the world and cover for reasons that range from religion to medical situations to fashion.

We are looking for someone that will recognize the potential of Wrapunzel, understand the idealism driving the business, and put in the creative organization work needed to help the business reach its full potential. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Devise sales and other promotions and draft the business calendar.
  • Assess success of initiatives through analysis of marketing data
  • Product sourcing: market research, design, manufacture, and curate.
  • Manage graphics
  • Collaborate with photographer on model and product photography.
  • Be a leading member of the creative team: selection, purchase, and organization of stock
  • Manage and coordinate tasks of team members for launches and promotions
  • Assist with visual design or changes desired for the Wrapunzel website
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on the website and using our inventory software.

  • Creative: able to present products, sales, and other initiatives in an accurate and appealing light to both external and internal audiences, using graphics, written descriptions, and other marketing skills.
  • In touch with Wrapunzel’s target audience: women who cover their hair for religious, medical or other reasons. On board with the warm, supportive community feeling the company thrives on and is committed to extending and reinforcing that image as the business grows.

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Work experience or equivalent degree in graphic design and/or marketing
  • Experience in a middle management role at a small retail business or e-commerce store
  • Software experience: Adobe Indesign and Photoshop (or similar), basic WordPress, Google Apps; Adwords, Finale inventory management software, and social media

 

This is a Baltimore-based, full-time position with a competitive salary. Hybrid model optional.

Director of Business Management at Wrapunzel LLC

Wrapunzel is a vibrant international movement that helps people from all walks of life participate in the art of head wrapping using colorful scarves and accessories. Our business is an online e-commerce store that ships worldwide, and an active community and support for our customers. A small business grown from humble, idealistic beginnings, we have become a thriving workplace with 10 employees that work beautifully as a team and contribute their unique skillset to our ongoing success.

Our current brilliant business manager who has been with us for six years is retiring. We are seeking a suitable replacement that can not only fill her shoes, but drive the business to reach new milestones and growth.

The business manager at Wrapunzel will be a “Jack of all trades”, meaning they will have a grasp of legal knowledge, customer service, accounting, HR, marketing, and draw from that knowledge appropriately and employ expert guidance as necessary.
While we are looking for skills and experience from the person that we hire, our top priority is finding someone that will thrive in this work environment and who will be invested in the mission of Wrapunzel.

Responsibilities:

Managing all financial aspects of the business such as accounts, budget, reconciliations, analytics, payroll
Set up new programs and initiatives for growth: track/monitor success before delegating

Preferred qualifications:

  • Basic legal knowledge or familiarity with trademark and copyright laws
  • Eye for detail, problem-solving, and noticing patterns
  • Excellent writer and communicator
  • Able to generate, read reports and plan accordingly
  • Social media experience
  • Marketing experience

Applicants must be local to, or willing to relocate to the Baltimore, MD area.
Full-time position (40 hours/week)
Hybrid and flexible hours are possible
Starting salary $4800/month negotiable based on experience

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Candidate Must-Haves:

This candidate will be responsible for working with our Business Manager and assisting her with various tasks. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, etc), able to take direction, be a team player, have knowledge and experience working in a professional working environment, understand when privacy and confidentiality are relevant, able to fluidly shift between the many changes and needs that arise throughout the day, and is looking for a long term placement. Job Tasks:

  • Draft monthly sales reports
  • Streamline data into OneNote from various sources
  • File, scan, e-file, and email
  • Attach and categorize items in Quickbooks
  • Communicate with vendors
  • Keep the appointment calendar 
  • Keep track of tasks and assist with said tasks
  • Be able to understand written data and transmit verbally
  • Assist with business ventures on the horizon

Starting rate is at $15/hr, 30 hours per week, negotiable upon experience.
