The ‘Wendy’ Beret Shaper
In 2015, we met a wonderful woman – Wendy. Wendy is the inventor of this super versatile shaper, and it is her dream to be able to offer it to more women all over the world at a super affordable price. Enter Wrapunzel! We collaborated with Wendy to manufacture and stock these beret shapers, and they are bestsellers for a reason… read on and see for yourself!
The ‘Wendy’ Beret Shaper is made of sweat wicking fabric with our super grippy no-slip headband attached. It pulls on your head beret style, with no Velcro, so you don’t even need to tie your hair back! It has a little hole on the inside that allows you to adjust how much volume you’d like – just pull some out or stuff some more in. So simple. So genius! You can also adjust where the volume sits on your head; slip it on and pile it up high, or shimmy it down low. The amount of space in the cap allows you to put the “pouf” wherever you want. If you wear it with an oomphtastic scrunchy, you will get it sticking out back more, and without, it will be closer to your head. The stuffing is super lightweight – you’ll barely know it’s there!
Wendy, we are so grateful to you for designing this gorgeous shaper. Thank you for making us head covering ladies so happy!

Like other garments, hand-washing and laying flat to dry will always extend the life of your shaper. But you can also wash with like colors in a washing machine! We always suggest doing so in a delicates bag, which will prevent the cap from snagging or becoming misshapen. Also, be sure to use a low heat-setting in a dryer, as too high a temperature can cause the stuffing to melt, potentially causing lumps. You may also remove the stuffing before washing which will shorten the length of time it takes to dry.
Please note that on rare occasions, our Black grippy velvet fabric’s dye has been known to bleed through onto light colored scarves. To prevent this from happening, you can try setting the dye with a vinegar rinse, for which you can find directions on the internet. It’s important to remember that laundering your Essential Tools renders them non-returnable according to our Return Policy.
The ‘Wendy’ will comfortably fit anyone with a head circumference (measured around the hairline where one wears her shaper) between 19″ and 26″.
